The C. Reiss Coal Company is a leading supplier of coal and related products typically used in industrial applications or to generate electricity. Koch Exploration Company and its affiliates acquire, develop and trade petroleum and natural gas properties in the United States, Canada and Brazil.

Koch Minerals, LLC is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our group in Wichita. The successful candidate will be involved with business transactions and decisions. You will be able to interact with a diverse group of business people within accounting, marketing, and operations. Additionally, you will gain a solid understanding of the company you support, including profit drivers, industry, competitors, and the market in which the business competes. Our position offers:
  • The ability to manage front to back processes but requires hands on, detailed accounting work
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: develop an understanding of the relevant industries and market structure; build relationships with traders, marketers, and position managers; become knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with standards and other compliance requirements; contract capture, position/trade status reporting, settlement (A/R, A/P), cash forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Accounting processes: reconciliations; inventory (book to physical reconciliations, accounts Payable/Receivable)
  • Cash management: Cash forecasting; provide support for short-term working capital and long-term capital structure requirements
  • Requirements
  • 2+ years of accounting related experience 
  • Proficient in accounting systems 
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or accounting from an accredited institution 

    Preferred 
  • Experience in the oil/gas, marketing/trading industries 
  • Supervisor responsibilities 
  • Masters degree in accounting
