Koch Minerals, LLC is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our group in Wichita. The successful candidate will be involved with business transactions and decisions. You will be able to interact with a diverse group of business people within accounting, marketing, and operations. Additionally, you will gain a solid understanding of the company you support, including profit drivers, industry, competitors, and the market in which the business competes. Our position offers:

The ability to manage front to back processes but requires hands on, detailed accounting work

Financial Reporting & Analysis: develop an understanding of the relevant industries and market structure; build relationships with traders, marketers, and position managers; become knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with standards and other compliance requirements; contract capture, position/trade status reporting, settlement (A/R, A/P), cash forecasting, and financial analysis

Accounting processes: reconciliations; inventory (book to physical reconciliations, accounts Payable/Receivable)

Cash management: Cash forecasting; provide support for short-term working capital and long-term capital structure requirements

Requirements

2+ years of accounting related experience 

Proficient in accounting systems 

Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or accounting from an accredited institution 

Preferred 

Experience in the oil/gas, marketing/trading industries 

Supervisor responsibilities 

Masters degree in accounting
