Requirements EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of a C.A.A.H.E.P. approved respiratory therapy program.

EXPERIENCE:
One year clinical experience preferred, preferably in critical care.
Entry level positions may be accepted with consideration.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
1. Current practitioner’s license in the state of Texas is required.
2. Certification or Registry credential from the NBRC is required.
3. Basic healthcare provider CPR certification is required.
4. Advanced certification in specialty area is preferred.

EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:
1. Ability to concentrate and make quick judgments with a high level of skill, knowledge, understanding and accuracy.
2. Ability to work without close supervision.
3. Strong written and verbal skills.
4. Computer skills.
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
6. May be asked to work overtime with little or no notice.
7. May be asked to be available for stand-by/on-call duties.

WORKING CONDITION/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Constant walking and/or standing.
2. Requires physical stamina to lift and move patients.
3. Possible exposure to body fluids and infectious disease.

OTHER: Must successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening and the annual TB screening each year thereafter as an associate.
