We have an immediate need for a SW Electrical Engineer, preferably with VB 6.0, to join our outsourcing team.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Individual will provide Software engineering support for the smooth and timely transition of products from the R&D lab into manufacturing. Additional responsibilities:
Develop product module performance verification test software for engineering design verification, qualification, pilot and production testing.
Work with Order Fulfillment Electrical Engineering team to understand Test Support Documents and measurement methodologies prior to developing test code.
Leverage existing test format and tests (VB6, Exec3 Test Executive, PADB, and Excel for independent variables and specifications).
Work with the R&D and Manufacturing team to set priorities for test development.
Benchmark development times for the completed TSD-to-test development. Use this information to plan the development timeline for remaining tests
Develop tests that support test process data collection, extraction, analysis and presentation.

Requirements/Preferences:
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a solid understanding of measurement and test methodology, or BS/MSEE with advanced programming skills.
Experience in use of electronic measuring equipment for doing basic measurements is a must.

Demonstrated skills in Visual Basic 6.0 or Visual Studio .NET and willingness to work in VB6 environment.

Experience in instrument control and test system development

Experience with Object Oriented Programming

Advanced software debugging and troubleshooting skills
Highly desirable is an individual who can work independently and has extended test engineering experience.
Due to the nature of confidential data, US Citizenship is required.
