Description PEROT SYSTEMS CORPORATION is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Manager of Patient Accounting in Dearborn, MI.

Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Patient Accounting is responsible for the overall direction and management of patient accounting services for a Physician Services Revenue Cycle client. The entire domestic Patient Accounting staff reports directly to the Manager. Offshore Patient Accounting resources assigned to the client have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Manager. The Manager ensures that patient accounting services are delivered according to Perot Systems standards and client-specific service level agreements. The Manager ensures that standardized operating methods, procedures, and performance standards are implemented and followed. The Manager reports to the Senior Director, Physician Revenue Cycle Services Patient Accounting and has a dotted line relationship to the Client Executive for the client account.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a Patient Accounting function capable of supporting 200+ physicians

  • Experience using the NextGen patient management system (desired, not required)
  • 5-10 years of increasingly responsible positions in physician revenue cycle services with an emphasis on patient accounting
  • Demonstrable knowledge of physician billing and collection procedures and regulations
  • 3-5 years of experience managing patient accounting operations
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent life/work experience), preferably in healthcare administration or business administration
  • Demonstrable experience in the design, documentation and implementation of workflows, policies and procedures
  • Deep experience with at least one major physician practice management system
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills

  • Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrated track record of success in building and maintaining successful client relationships
