Description
CPA - Commercial Construction Accountant
Direct Hire Position - Great Incentives!
The CPA will act as the Commercial Construction Accountant. Construction company management a plus. This person will be working long hours, averaging about 60 hours a week. Local candidates or those who will more to the Tri-Cities area are preferred for this position. Right candidate would be considered for a Department Manager position. This Accountant may easily be considered for a partner potential. The firm has a niche in Construction CPA work and is looking to grow this segment of business.
The Firm offers medical benefits, profit sharing and 401K with 5% to 10% match. Long term definite partner potential for the right person - firm currently has a feature partners group, but no one is ready for partnership yet. There is only one partner in the firm who will retire in 2020 and the other partner has already retired and the current partner is working on a continuity plan.
Compensation: Compensated a percentage of billing rate of 33% plus an annual bonus at partners discretion which is based on hours worked per year: 33% for up to 1400 hours worked per year; 43% for 1400 - 1600 hours worked per year and 53% for 1600 plus hours worked per year. Person must be driven and wanting to work long hours.
Pay Offered: $60,000 - $80,000 - Annual/DOE - compensation is based on billable hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews financial statements, tax planning for commercial construction.
- Work with software called engagement system.
- Financial statement preparation, financial reports, budget management, profit planning - (servicing customers that need to report to 3rd parties.)
- Work with the general contractor.
- Advise construction and real estate clients on complex transactions involving all matters pertaining to general accounting and audit.
- Provide direction on compliance issues; developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and staff members.
- Financial risk assessment.
This is a Direct Hire Full-Time position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Requirements
CPA - Commercial Construction Accountant Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as a CPA.
- Financial Risk Assessment experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements.
- Strong analytical and communication skills and a genuine interest in serving as an advisor to construction clients.
- Tax knowledge as it relates to the construction industry.
- Must have an enthusiasm for construction accounting.
- A strong desire to live in the Kennewick, WA on a long term basis.
- Firm has tenure and wants someone with tenure in mind.
- Construction company management experience is a plus.
