Our rapidly growing Medical Products Division is seeking to fill an Accounting Support Role focusing on Travel Investments for our Deer Valley, AZ facility. This is a responsible non supervisory position. Duties include performing a variety of complex accounting tasks applying accepted procedures to the preparation, audit and maintenance of accounting travel records.
This associate will focus their efforts on:
- Auditing incoming travel reports for compliance with corporate and IRS guidelines
- Monitoring the aging of vouchered receipts and submitted travel reports
- Receiving and filing of all travel reports
- Processing reimbursements in the accounts payable system
- Auditing check run payments for reimbursements
- Auditing account coding through the travel system and preparing reclass entries
- Assisting field sales and other travel associates with the travel reporting system
- Supporting other activities within the accounting team
- Using business judgment to challenge unusual or inappropriate spending and communicate to Leadership
- Providing extensive customer service to internal associates in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- A High school diploma is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience in accounting related tasks required.
- Proficiency using computer tools such as Excel and Word is required.
- Ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplined team environment gaining consensus when appropriate, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including listening skills
- Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities with a positive attitude
- Self-motivation, hands-on approach, attention to detail, dependability, and good judgment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and follow through skills required
Role requires some travel to Flagstaff, AZ where other members of the accounting team reside.
