Description Central Locating Service LTD is expanding and is seeking Utility Locate Technicians to work in the Lansing, MI area.  These positions are great for people who enjoy driving local roads, working outdoors and operating independently. Locator's are responsible for the correct, safe and efficient locating and marking of underground utilities, according to the Standard Operating Procedures of the company. This includes taking the time to thoroughly search for underground plant in an area, to properly mark the location, to complete the necessary paperwork, and to photograph each locate. Locator's are also responsible for a company truck, Dell laptop computer, Nextel phone, gas card and other equipment.

Direct experience is not necessary, but you must have recent experience working outside. Applicants without prior outdoor experience will not be considered.

The starting pay is $11.00 and could be more depending on experience.

These are day time positions, but overtime is required.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report.

  • Must be able to read a map and able to use a computer.
