Supplier Development and Technical Manager

Description The Supplier Development and Technical Manager will lead and direct the Supplier Development, Quality and Technical resources to ensure that they are focused in line with the requirements of the Supply Chain Management Team. This position will support the Supply Chain Unit and Supplier Management Team personnel to comply with processes as defined in Rolls-Royce Quality Management System (RRQMS), or equivalent quality system, and lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies identified by commodity strategies and new product development / service provision Key accountabilities for this role include:

* Identify, plan, implement and review improvement actions in support of supply chain quality and delivery performance

* Plan and allocate Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Plant Supplier Quality resources to work tactical and strategic improvements in supply chain

* Coordinate on behalf of Supply Chain Unit, with all Central or Regional Purchasing functions such as Approve/Maintain, ME, Quality, and Education and training

* Liaise with engineering functions for resolution and escalation of technical issues

* Control technical authority within team as delegated by appropriate technical control authority

* Communicate supply chain performance both; internally to related functions and externally to suppliers of Rolls-Royce

Requirements Basic:

* Bachelor's Degree

* 5 Years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
