To lead and direct DNA Off premise marketing and merchandising programming activation by Channel across Diageo portfolio that deliver against market needs and financial objectives.

Financial Responsibility - This position is responsible for coordinating and managing marketing projects in our Off Premise Channel promotional budget and has a direct impact on the Off Premise Spend

Complexity of Role Role - requires proficiency in the following areas:§          Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules and short time constraints.§          Ability to interact and collaborate with Brand teams, Innovation, Sales teams and Customers§          Ability to work across Spirits, Beer and National Accounts teams §          Must understand how to apply DWBB principles to program development§          Experience leading early phase projects to successful conclusion§          Solution-based, proactive nature§          Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach§          Emotional maturity with the ability to influence decisions in a team structure§          Strong attention to accuracy, detail and timelines  

Management Responsibility -

This position is responsible for coordinating and managing marketing projects in our Trade Marketing Function with the primary role of organization and follow-through.   Will assist the Trade Marketing Director in all phases of business.    Must be able to interact with Executive- and management-level personnel with Customers, agencies and internally. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Director  

Key Outputs/Deliverables -          Interpret channel, market and customer needs and develop relevant activation tactics for Spirits, Beer and National Accounts teams§          Program-manage the logistics of marketing initiatives including sampling, display merchandising, event marketing, coupons, etc.  From production through scheduling and activation.  §          Coordinate all programming elements and materials to be delivered on strategy, on budget and on time. §          Implement program activation plans with DEO Spirits, DGUSA and National Accounts§          Coordinate the flow of sales and marketing materials e.g. sales samples, presentations, POS materials, etc with TM-Mktg Services for all Brand and Innovation programs across DEO Spirits, DGUSA and National Accounts§          Track production ship schedules from “start to finish” to ensure timely delivery of programs.§          Coordinate special requests from Brand, Innovation, Cluster/Region and Customer teams.§          Interact with external agencies and Diageo peers to make sure material quality and graphic standards are consistent Diageo Marketing Code.

Experience - College degree with 5+ years of relevant business experience

  •           Experience working in sales and marketing environments
  •           Experience in working with promotional agencies and third party vendors
  •           Customer-facing skills (presentation, fact-based selling, buyer/supplier relationships)
  •           Demonstrated success leading projects through successful implementation
  •     Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
  •           Must be PC proficient, especially with Powerpoint, Excel and Word
