RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Manager will provide leadership to create a performance-driven organization and foster continuous improvement of all metrics. The successful Quality Manager will:

  • Assess and execute day-to-day quality improvement programs and use sound analytical reasoning to solve operational problems
  • Provide leadership and direction to the production leadership and production workers and be a driving force in improvement with optimization and maximizing yield from materials
  • Continue to foster a culture of continuous improvement to improve process control, quality processes, and reduce defects
  • Lead and coordinate efforts in maintaining and improving product, systems and process quality
  • Provide training to all levels of the manufacturing organization in measurement methods and quality improvement techniques
  • Take a leadership role in developing and implementing advanced quality principles
  • Oversee process capability studies, corrective action and material non-conformance systems
  • Monitor and report on key controls associated with the operation
  • Be results oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Maintain quality systems to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline preferred
  • At least three experience in the corrugated industry
  • At least two years experience managing quality and process improvements

    KNOWLEDGE � SKILLS � ABILITIES:
  • Ability to analyze facts and data from existing systems to resolve quality issues
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and implement changes
  • Experience with inspection methods and statistical control techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Thorough understanding of statistical theory and application
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word-processing, and manufacturing-control software applications
