Financial Reporting Manager

Description Classification: Interim/Project

Compensation: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour

A top local company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. Job responsibilities include: Responsible for accounting for revenue and related accounts (A/R, deferred revenue, bad debt, refunds, etc.), review and post all revenue related journal entries each month in a large ERP system, review monthly revenue related account reconciliation, work closely with business systems and fulfillment departments to handle issues as they arise, and improve current processes, supervise group of 8 (3 direct reports), including senior accountants, staff accountants, and cash application coordinators, work closely with finance department to ensure accuracy of monthly entries, variances from budget, and keep apprised of new business developments, assume a lead role in handling annual audit, revenue related requests and issues.

Requirements:

BS degree in Accounting, CPA required, ideal candidate will have 6+ years experience in accounting field, public accounting background necessary, experience with revenue recognition issues and ability to research accounting guidance related to such issues, strong organizational skills - able to handle multiple tasks and maintain detailed records, proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet; excellent written and verbal communication skills, supervisory experience necessary, attention to detail and good multitasking skills.
