Psychiatrist

Description This position functions as part of a psychiatric care team working with other physicians, physician extenders, nurses and/or other support staff. Positions will cover inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric Services. Primary and secondary medical services are provided in the General and Medical portions of the medical center. This level of service, as well as tertiary care, is also provided to the psychiatric areas.

The Topeka VA Medical Center is part of the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System which
serves veterans in Eastern Kansas and Northwestern Missouri. There are two main hospitals, one
in Topeka and Leavenworth, with 10 community based out patients clinics.
