Description

Responsible for reviewing the sales orders for the assigned group and ensuring the availability of materials for manufacturing to commence production as well as coordinating the production schedules with manufacturing to ensure timely completion of the production orders to meet the customer requirements on a consistent basis.

The qualified candidate should be able to interact closely with various teams and serve as the Program Manager's representative within the site.

Acts as primary contact with sales, manufacturing, quality and logistics, determining resource constraints and developing plans to achieve customers' needs.

 

Conducts weekly review of demand and ensures appropriate supply to meet customer requirements.

 

Assists in maintaining the master production schedule for the assigned group, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, delay in receiving raw materials, availability of production equipment, etc. Advises appropriate parties in the plant and sales offices by E-mail of changes in the schedule.

 

Participates in weekly production planning meeting that includes representatives from sales, roduction, shipping, customer service, and purchasing departments.

 

Communicate with our offshore manufacturing facility to schedule production based on open orders.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree (preferred), or A.A. Degree, plus previous experience in materials management, production planning, or materials control function with atleast 2-4 years of related experience.

 

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience in production and material planning in a computerized ERP/MRP environment.

 

Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) highly desired.

 

Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.

 

Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.

 

Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
