We are looking for a Metallurgist at our Intalco plant in Ferndale, Washington.The position reports to the Casthouse Manager.The purpose of this position is to provide technical services to customers and perform various plant and corporate quality and metallurgy functions. Other duties:*investigate customer complaints and concerns, *maintain customer files,*respond to customer inquiries, *coordinate various training and technical support for customers and plant personnel,NOTE:extensive knowledge in aluminum casting and fabrication is necessary*proven ability to identify, correct problems and deficiencies to improve productivity and product quality.About IntalcoAlcoa Intalco Works is a primary aluminum smelter facility located in Ferndale, Washington. It began operations in 1966 under the ownership of Alumax, Pechiney and Howmet. Requirements * B.S. Degree in Metallurgical Engineering * Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in metal or aluminum casting or fabrication environment* Technical knowledge of casting* Strong customer service and communication skills* Proven human relations and ability to interact with all levels of management
