Accountant The Kensington Gold Mine Coeur Alaska is recruitin

Coeur Alaska is recruiting an Accountant for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.

Essential Functions:
*Responsible for maintaining fixed asset inventory.
*Assists Mine Controller with generation of monthly financial statements by entering journal entries, compiles statements, and reconciles statements.
*Generates and files trial balance, fluctuation, and other reports as necessary.
*Act as back up for Mine Controller in assigned areas of responsibility.
*Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while supporting environmental policies and regulations.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business and 3-5 years of directly related experience in the mining industry preferred. Solid proficiency with Microsoft office, advanced proficiency with spreadsheet applications and working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures. Good organizational skills, detail orientated, and demonstrate proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
