Contract QC Lab Tech

Description Randstad has partnered with a key company in Volusia County and is currently recruiting for an experienced QC Lab Technician to work in the Quality Department at a local manufacturer on a CONTRACT basis. This is a long term temporary, 1st or 2nd shift opportunity. Lab Tech's are responsible for performing and reporting results of analytical tests to support manufacturing, compounding and validation. They will conduct specification investigations to determine cause and report finding to the QC Supervisor and perform standard product preparation and evaluation per procedures. Tech's will also review the testing documentation generated in the lab by other technicans and peform tests based on consumer complaint samples and report results. All EPC safety, GMP, and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines must be used at all times.

Working hours: 7:00AM-3:30PM or 3:30PM-12:00 PM

Requirements EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have at least 3 year of previous applicable work experience in lab setting. Must also have knowledge of laboratory equipment calibrations and regulatory guidelines preferred. Working knowledge of wet chemical techniques FTIR, UV/VIS, HPLC and GC. Qualified candidates must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, be detail oriented, have solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to interface with cross-functional internal teams and external contacts. Must also have good computer skills with expertise in Word and Excel. Candidates should have at least an A.S. Degree, however a B.S. in chemistry is preferred. The position pays $12-$14 per hour, depending on experience.
