Description
Job Summary:The Resource Development Coordinator reports to the Chief Development Officer and is responsible for grants preparation and monitoring (40%) and gift solicitation (40%). Other responsibilities include working in a collaborative relationship with other Foundation staff members on special eventsand activities such as Telehealth (20%). Requires some local travel. This is an exempt position that requires some flexibility in evening and weekend work. Membership in National Society of Fundraising Executives or Association of Healthcare Philanthropy suggested.
Essential Duties:
- Maintains relationships with donors and conducts solicitations on a regular basis.
- Assists with coordination and execution of special events.
- Conducts research, prepares proposals and monitors grants for successful implementation and compliance with grantor agencies.
- Compiles and updates files of funding resources.
- Has understanding and can implement good project management techniques.
- Represents Saint Elizabeth Foundation at hospital and community events as deemed appropriate by the Chief Development Officer.
- Works collaboratively to support major gift strategies developed within the Foundation.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of fundraising or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to speak before groups in a teaching setting.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills in promoting the mission of Saint Elizabeth Foundation to a variety of internal and external publics, as well as Foundation support staff.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail are important.
License/Certification:
- Must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and a driving record compatible with the requirements of SERMC.
- CFRE helpful.
