Description
Position Description: Responsible for recruiting foster and adoptive families through an active and consistent recruitment campaign. Markets the various placement programs/services, including Therapeutic Foster Care and Adoption. Develops ongoing strategies to publicize services to prospective parents via print, broadcast media and community outreach.Essential Functions:
Develops and implements annually Foster Care recruitment strategies and campaigns, in collaboration with Foster Care Director and staff.
Publicizes Foster Care programs via print and broadcast media and through community outreach.
Develops publicity materials such as newsletters, brochures, posters, PSAs, etc., in collaboration with program supervisors.
Manages recruitment initiatives including community presentations and media outreach.
Coordinates outreach campaigns with Development, Adoption, Human Resources and other foster care programs.
Attracts sufficient numbers of resources and participants to meet contractual and program development commitments.
Provides MAPP training to potential foster families.
Provides consultation to agency staff TFC family resource issues.
Performs other duties which may be assigned.
Requirements
MSW preferred, BA in related field required. Three years in a human services position, public relations and/or community outreach required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, creativity, innovative thinking and experience working with multicultural populations. Experience in recruitment, family assessment and foster care/adoption preferred.
