Description POSITION ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES: Developmental role where you will learn and support all aspects of the sales group, including:

  • Gathering market and customer information

  • Price, bill of material and content management

  • Building, maintaining and developing relationships with customers via meetings, phone and emails.

  • Visiting Plastipak sites and development centers to learn and understand the processes used in our business and well as the quality systems employed.

  • Visiting potential customers

  • Assisting in the generation of accurate and rapid quotations

  • Learning and ultimately participating in the project management cycle

  • Learning and assisting in the forecasting process

  • Following 12-18 month training and possibly rotation through many of the above areas, which may include 6-8 week hands on experience, objective is individual would be willing to relocate to another region in a sales assignment.
    • Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

  • Must have a 4 year college degree in Engineering, Packaging, or Plastics

  • Must be able to travel 40% - 50% out of state

  • Well rounded individual with an outgoing personality

  • Team player who enjoys working with people

  • Strong work ethic, with good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Self-starter, striving to do the best

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills, good business acumen

  • Above average technical aptitude, with the ability to interact with a diverse customer base
