Description Basic Responsibilities:
Serves as a strategic business partner in driving the key LB business categories and achieving financial objectives through cross functional leaders and their respective teams. The HR function requires a leader to partner with VP of function to secure execution of the business strategies and ensure exceptional service delivery. The intent is laser focus on talent and capabilities to ensure the LB business success.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Talent Management
  • Laser focus is required on securing the best talent through creative networking and data mining.  Marketing the strong Lane Bryant strategic plans and story to secure interest among top talent in the industry. Creating a pipeline for critical roles.
  • Trusted coach and partner throughout the organization. Anticipates needs of those we support. Candid with critical feedback and perspective to ensure leadership success. 
  • Strategic Execution
  • True understanding of retail, understands the business strategies and interprets the talent tactics required to support those strategies.
  • Architect simple education and learning tactics for the agreed upon retail capabilities required to win at LB.
  • Maximize communications formal and informal with marketing partnership to ensure external and internal communications compliment each other and are simple to understand.
  •  Lead with organizational development recommendations to assure highest level of associate engagement.  Secure our highly desired culture and seek understanding and take action to create the ideal culture driving business success. Examines team effectiveness, work processes and organizational structures and recommends ideas for improvement.
  • HR Leadership
  • HR leadership within the function: this leader will be key partner to the HR function head and ensure execution of running the business with the HR team.  Acts as a business partner with CSI stakeholders to gain alignment and be a "go to" contact in the absence of or on behalf of HR function head. Lead on key business issues, organizational structure, work design, compensation, benefits, staffing, training, and employee relation issues.
  • Ensures all price of admission HR services are perceived by all as a Service Excellence quality of delivery.
  • Associate Engagement and Culture Impact
  • Constantly identifying and developing strategies to ensure satisfaction among those associates we retain. This includes quarterly idea generation, execution and involvement of the associates in the execution.  Measures success and markets value and purpose to organization with all launches.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of industry and HR trends, standards and "best practices."
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience in HR positions, with 5-8 years of retail industry experience and knowledge, has a passion for talent and retail
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, coaching and teaming
  • Ability to take on great capacity, prioritize, focus and execute
  • Unconsciously competent in building true business partnerships and possesses a natural mindset of serving others
  • Demonstrated success in leading HR teams
  • Highly effective in influencing and negotiations, positive and "solve for"
  • Applies situational leadership to appropriate stakeholders and business conditions
  • Capable of taking concepts/project and self creating presentations, frameworks and using templates
