Description
In this role, you will be working closely with our Commercial and Business Banking sales force to offer and manage a wide array of Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Commercial Card Services. This position is a combination of business development and client services management, seeking to upsell current customers and offer services to new customers, assist in managing onboarding activities of new customers and helping to solve problems and troubleshoot any issues that clients need assistance with as the relationship progresses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the sale of Treasury Management and Merchant Services to business customers of the bank.
Sales rep will work directly with relationship managers to identify sales opportunities, set appointments and make sales calls to bank commercial customers and prospects.
Sales rep will be responsible for performing some analysis to demonstrate the cost/benefits of the banks services.
Sales rep will be responsible for developing and coordinating product and industry trend presentations and training for internal and external customers of the bank.
Sales rep will be responsible for tracking and reporting sales initiatives to enable management to monitor sales progress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree.
4+ years sales experience OR completion of M&T Bank's Management Development (MDP) Program with 2+ years of experience.
Good personal computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong sales aptitude, with the ability to work independently.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, management, peers).
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience in Treasury Management and/or Merchant Services.
Strong business-to-business sales experience.
Strong banking background.
