Purpose:
Position: Technical Analyst (Mainframe and Tandem)
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: 12 Months



Job Description:
• As a Technical Analyst, you will work with the Business Analyst to produce detailed technical design specifications for new/changed system functionality.
• Develop technical approach for system functionality and document approach, impacts, and pseudo-code. Work with the development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
• Work with Business Analyst to translate business scenarios into relevant unit/system/integration/interface testing scenarios for the testing team.
• You will translate business requirements into detailed technical design specifications, work with business analysts to analyze and document impact of proposed technology to existing architecture.
• Create and refine preliminary design/mockup of new functionality, develop pseudo-code based on detailed design specifications, and assist in defining scope.
• Communicate technical integration decisions, issues and plans with project team.
• Document performance requirements, development standards and security requirements, develop flow charts, functional diagrams and descriptions to communicate technical design specifications.
• Resolve issues.
• This position is client facing. MUST HAVE GREAT COMMUNICATION SKILLS!!

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of Technical Analyst work experience with Tandem and Mainframe environment.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a Tandem environment
• Minimum of 2 years of client Lead or project management experience
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
• Must have previous Financial or Banking industry experience
• Project Management, PMP, is a Plus
