Description Princeton Information is seeking Oracle DBA's for contract opportunites in the Tampa Bay area.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The database adminstration function supports the data organization, storage, retrieval, and maintenance requirements of numerous business applications. The DBA group provides 24/7 database Hotline support, assists on application performance tuning and other types of troubleshooting within the database domain, follows global change processes and problem management processes to implement changes and resolve DBMS system issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience
  • Must have strong problem research and resolution skills
  • Must have performance monitoring and tuning background
  • Must have worked in a large, complex OLTP database environment
  • Must have strong UNIX background
  • Install and maintain Oracle 9i, 10g, and later versions
  • Perform VTM (CPU) vulnerability and patch upgrades
  • Configure, implement and maintain Oracle instances
  • Research and resolve software and internal database problems
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery processes
  • Install, configure and maintain BMC Patrol for Oracle
  • Install and configure Sqlbacktrack or RMAN for Oracle
  • Establish database security procedures
  • Monitor and tune performance using home grown scripts
  • Perform quarterly RCSA compliance of databases
  • Monitor database systems using BMC Patrol monitoring softeare
  • Schedule all backup jobs sing the AutoSYS job scheduler
  • Support/Configure High availability systems as required
  • Support systems using EMC SRDF
  • Oracle 10g installation, RMAN, Dataguard, Clusters, RAC
  • Experience working on SOX initiatives and other standard DBA support
  • Must have Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Must be a good team player and work well with others
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
