Overview:
Candidates selected for this position will:
- Provide support to and cooperate with Field Sales, KAMs, GAMs and Customer Service within Tyco Electronics business units as defined by geographical area and/or industry.
- Manage interface between the customer and Applications Engineering, Product Management, Business Development, Product Engineering and Operations of the Relay Products Group (RPG).
- Support and attain billings and margin growth targets for all products assigned to the Relay Products Group.
- Coordinate with Field Sales, Product Management, Industry Management and Business Development in the development and execution of a business plan with key customers and subcontractors.
- 50+% travel to customer sites to maintain and extend customer relationship and gain new knowledge about new design activities, phase outs, trends and competitive intelligence.
- Prepare and follow up on submitted sales quotes, within applied rules for the pricing process.
- Collect customer demand data on a regular basis to develop forecast information for sales and operations planning.
- Support new product introduction until customer product release, and coordinate product phase out.
- Supporting Quality Management and Logistics Management to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring our performance with scorecards.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- 4 year degree preferred
- 10 years prior sales experience in the electronics industry
- Familiarity with with Tyco Electronics relay product offerings
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Good presentation and communication skills
- A results orientation with demonstrated time/territory management skills
- The ability to identify, prioritize and target key customers
- The ability to work as a team member
