Principal Engineer-Info Tech

Description Provide service on highly classified Government Contracts with a diverse computing environment and user population. This position requires the ability and desire to handle various roles, such as system administrator, desktop technician, and network administration. The successful candidate must be an excellent team player with a strong customer support mindset.

The candidate shall be responsible for the installation, maintenance and usage of a multi-user computer system, including local area networks. Duties include the installation of servers, workstations, software and hardware and peripheral components. Operating systems may include Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2000/2003. A familiarization with UNIX and a working knowledge of SUN Systems is helpful. A familiarity or working knowledge of with Telelogic Doors, System Architect (Popkin); Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003, and McAfee Antivirus products and applications a plus. Further duties to include: Loads and verifies the correct operation of the operating systems and the various subcomponents (login/domain accounts, file access rights, establishing DNS and email servers and developing various software scripts to enhance productivity); system backups. Maintains data files and control procedures.

The successful candidate with have good people skills, and will interact comfortably with a user community that includes business managers, administrators, engineers, and customer representatives.

TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Requirements BS degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering) preferred. Minimum of five years of experience.
