Role Summary/Purpose
Manage all aspects of materials supply for the Madison site, which includes working with suppliers, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, continuously improving processes to meet fulfillment and cash flow targets, as well as support production and production planning.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Set strategy and direct function of planners, buyers, and inventory control specialists.
  • Lead plant team in translating the customer sales & inventory plan into an executable production plan.
  • Coordinate efforts with suppliers and sourcing teams to ensure a consistent materials flow and to resolve material shortages impacting production.
  • Drive site goals and objectives for productivity/inventory; report on metrics.
  • Using lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement in all aspects of materials including inventory days-on-hand levels, stock accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Manage ramp-up/ramp-down releases for new and old products and product modifications, including supplier transfer programs.
  • Supervise 10+ Materials Specialists.

    Qualifications/Requirements
    1. Bachelors Degree and 6 years manufacturing/supply-chain experience, OR HS diploma and 12 years supply chain experience 2. Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing supervisory, managerial, or large project leadership role.3. Experience with fundamental principles of manufacturing materials handling - Examples include: Inventory transactions, material presentation, supplier collaboration, cycle counting. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint.4. Proven ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change.

    1. Masters Degree in business or engineering.2. APICS certification.3. Demonstrated leadership skills, persistence and tenacity.4. Outstanding organization and communication skills.5.
