Requirements Job Description
HealthSouth's Corporate Headquarters is currently seeking a Desktop IT Administrator. As a member of the Desktop Management team, the IT Administrator will be involved with all aspects of the group which includes but is not limited to creating and maintaining desktop images, software packaging and distribution, patch management and desktop virtualization.

Key requirements for this position include the following:

  • A minimum of 5 years desktop management experience which includes architecting Windows OS and desktop management infrastructure

  • A minimum of 3 years experience creating and maintaining desktop and laptop images utilizing Ghost or similar technology

  • Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of Windows desktop environment for a large enterprise

  • Development and maintenance of software distribution packages using SCCM 2007

  • Strong knowledge of server and virtualization (vmWare preferred) technologies

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Directory Services, Operating Systems and SQL 2005

  • Familiarity with scripting tools

    The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and preferably a bachelor*s degree in MIS, Engineering, or Computer Science. Current Industry certifications are desirable. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with little supervision. Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment. Research current and future technologies and relate them to current environment. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate appropriately to management and other IT staff.
