The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process and knowledge of physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual and developmental needs of clients in provision of direct patient care and for functioning as a contributing member of the health care team.     • Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must be licensed as an RN in Texas. CPR certification is required.

    EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:
    The Clinical Nurse must have the following knowledge and skills:
    Use of the Nursing Process
    Knowledge of basic pathophysiology
    Basic nursing skills
    Ability to function in emergency situations
    Written and verbal communication skills
    Perform skills and use equipment basic to specialty area assigned as outlined in the skills checklist

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Works in a smoke free, drug free facility. Must adjust to frequently changing workloads and frequent interruptions. Constant walking or standing is necessary; requires some physical stamina to lift and move patients. Subject to strained muscles. Exposure to body fluids and infectious disease is possible.

    OTHER: Must successfully complete the pre-employment/post job offer health screening and the annual TB screening each year thereafter as an associate.
