This is a multi-faceted position that supports the growth of Connolly. This position is based in Wilton, CT.

Overview Essential Functions: RFP / Marketing Writer
  • Review RFP/RFQ/RFI for requirements and meet those requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Write, edit, proof and coordinate content as marketing writer of RFP/RFQ/RFI responses.
  • Lead and coordinate content gathering and activities of subject matter experts via all necessary means (e.g., phone conferences, email).  Negotiate textual modifications with originating author and the appropriate subject matter expert.
  • Prepare clear, concise and accurate responses that speak to the intended audience.
  • Organize and format proposal responses, identify inconsistencies or gaps in the document or its content.
  • Edit new or existing content to re-purpose content, correct errors, add material and update to current company style guide standards, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and graphics.
  • Perform secondary editor review of documents to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Ensure that all proposal documents are aesthetically pleasing, produced to the highest quality standards, and delivered within deadlines.
  • Manage workload and prioritize activities to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Efficiently provide accurate responses to specific requests for information.
  • Manage the proposal production process, including oversight of production coordinator activities.
  • Oversee the process by which quality checks are conducted for each proposal and other documents, to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Preserve the confidentiality of highly sensitive financial, enrollee and competitive information that is provided for proposal development.
  • Recommend modification in policies and procedures to improve the proposal process and address the needs of internal customers.
  • Ensure that new information is incorporated appropriately into all components of the information infrastructure.
  • Contribute to overall processes within Marketing, including collecting and reporting accurate data about activities and accomplishments in the areas of systems, documentation and internal procedures, that contribute to overall quality management activities. Generate periodic and ad hoc reports.
  • Contribute as a member of the Marketing department, to assist in development and implementation of strategic direction.
  • Prepare corporate marketing communications that are disseminated monthly/quarterly.

  • Familiarity with online procurement systems
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) and Adobe (Acrobat, Photoshop), and other  products
      Minimum Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will be well versed in marketing concepts with hands-on experience in marketing a business-to-business service to Fortune 1000 companies.
  • A college degree is necessary, an MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Possess strong Microsoft Office skills as well as a proven ability to write quality business documents.
  • Marketing or sales support experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with finance and/or accounting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with online procurement systems a plus.
  • Position requires meeting tough deadlines as established by prospective clients.
