Description This is a full time position.  As a member of this architect team, you'll have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the product development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing. You'll play the following key roles:
  • To architect, design, and implement large, mission critical DBMS logical and physical data schemas to support both OLTP and OLAP functionality in the Service oriented architecture
  • To conduct database administration, optimization plus tuning.  Also will be responsible for deployment and rollout preparation of all aspects production databases
  • To design and implement data archiving and retrieval
  • To design and implement business intelligence and data warehouse applications
  • Responsible for the sizing and volumetric of the database
 
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or above
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills
  • Must have minimum of 12 years experience of data design and database administration with at least 6 years of Oracle direct experience
  • Experience with relational data modeling for large mission critical database
  • Modeling for OLAP and OLTP data modeling (transactions and historical facts).  This includes star schemas, snow flake schemas, and related warehouse models
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle administration, tuning, and deployment
  • Design and implementation of stored procedures, views, etc
  • Experience developing data persistency for Weblogic J2EE applications
  • Familiar with off-the-shelf reporting tools such as Crystal Report; capability to write reports with tools on demand.  Knowledge of reporting servers such as Business Objects or Crystal Report server
  • Full life cycle development experience with both operational and data warehousing environments
  • Knowledge of UML and other formal requirements gathering methodologies for web services and J2EE multi-tier applications
  • Accounting Payables knowledge and credentials are desired
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, WSDL for SOAP and Java Class modeling
  • Knowledge of ERP Applications is a plus such as: PeopleSoft, SAP, and Oracle
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
