Description
Are you an experienced licensed Registered Nurse (RN) looking for an exciting new opportunity in the Erie area? We have that fantastic per diem Substitute School Nurse opportunity for you within a wonderful school district!
In this position, you will assist Certified School Nurses with duties, projects as assigned, such as Screens students who present symptoms of a health-related problem. * Administers emergency first aid services in accordance with established medical procedure and Board policy. * Administers student medication, in accordance with written physician's orders and Board policy. * Assists Certified School Nurse to examine students before exclusion or re-admission to school in connection with infectious and contagious diseases. (TB, head lice, impetigo, ringworm, etc) * Calls for and coordinates on-site EMS response teams. * Assists with various screening procedures (height, weight, vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) as directed by the Certified School Nurse. * Perform duties in accordance with contract.
EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year experience in nursing after your clinical rotations; experience in emergency care and/or pediatrics is necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid PA registered nurse license, Current criminal record and child abuse clearances required; CPR trained.
