Pharmacy Supervisor FT * - (Job Number: 01356-1546)

Pharmacy Supervisor:

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote cost-effective, appropriate, and safe medication use.
• Supervise medication storage and preparation areas throughout the facility and off-site clinics.
• Provide for the educational needs of health care professionals, patients, and their families; and monitor and justify all expenses exceeding budgeted targets.
• Ensure maintenance of an adequate medication supply; safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols; strict control and accountability for medications dispensed to patients; compliance with health system policies and procedures that apply to pharmacy services; and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the pharmacy that supports the mission and goals of the organization; pharmacy services in collaboration with associated department services; and a program that improves the quality of pharmacy services and supports the performance improvement plan of the organization.
• Oversee Staff Pharmacists and Pharmacy Tech Supervisor

• Bachelors Degree required
• Regisered Pharmacist (Florida)
• Previous Pharmacy Manager experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact equally well with healthcare staff, patients, and families.
• Service minded professional.
