This role will support the newly created North American CMO organization, whose goal is to ensure Citi Consumer Banking, NA is a world-class marketing and customer-centric organization.  CMO responsibilities include providing actionable insight and segmentation on our customers across the North American Consumer business lines; creating a clearly defined customer strategy across product and channels; developing and monitoring key customer metrics; and developing world class internet and mobile capabilities.
 
Role Description:
 
The Head of Marketing and Investment Decisioning's key responsibilities include: 1) developing and implementing a Marketing and Investment optimization process for the North American Consumer businesses, including measuring advertising effectiveness and return on investment, 2) Net Promoter Score analysis and valuation, 3) Rewards / loyalty analysis, 4) Definition and reporting of key customer metrics.
 
Reporting to the CMO Head of Decision Management, this person will be a key member of the CMO DM leadership team and must be able to establish and maintain credible and highly effective working relationships with both internal and external business partners. Keys to success in this role will be the ability to influence existing practices and strategies that go beyond traditional approaches and perspectives for each business, to develop a highly functioning team, and to rapidly implement new tools.

Requirements Business/Technical Experience:
 
  • Approximately 15-20 years experience in a large scale, consumer financial services environment
  • Experience in building a broad base of support among key internal and external decision makers in a complex and matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of the P&L drivers across the NA Consumer businesses
  • Outstanding analytical and cognitive skills coupled with strong broad based strategic ability partnering to bring innovative insights to the business.
  • Knowledge of external analytic tool sets and cutting edge analytic methods
  • Demonstrated success in implementing new tools and processes in a complex business environment.
