Accounting Manager

Description Classification: Full-time

Compensation: $55000 to $70000 per year

An established and successful construction company is seeking an experienced accountant to join their Newport News team. This position will act as the assistant to CFO, prepare monthly financial statements, deal with complex tax issues, oversee the daily accounting operations, take responsibility for all billing, and work on many special projects. The candidate will have a bachelors degree in accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of month-end to financial statements, hands-on tax experience, expert knowledge of the billing process, public accounting experience, and strong leadership and computer skills including MS Excel.
