As a result we have attracted and developed a team of exceptionally well qualified and dedicated employees.PRIMARY FUNCTION(S):Engility is seeking programmers (e.g., BSCS) for its Research & Development activities in support of FAA human factors and air traffic control systems. Exciting position supports assessing new technology for the US national airspace system. Involves Linux programming C/C++ and applications related to prototyping and simulation. Activities include prototype development, research, testbeds and assessments of simulations. Duties include programming and software integration of prototypes for simulation. Quantify and document results for test reports & technical assessments. Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, work well in a group and with individual assignments. Full-time positions are in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the FAA Technical Center. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:(1) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (2) 0-3 Years experience(3) Linux (Redhat), C++ Object Oriented, TCL/TK PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Additional pluses are experience in the any of the following (not firm requirements): Experience with Real-time systems, Unix, prototyping, simulations, Integration, familiarity with aviation related systems, testing, or good mathematical skills. A masters degree is a plus. LOCATION: Southern NJ Engility’s Air traffic division supports the FAA's R&D and Test facility in Pomona, NJ. The facility and job location is 14 miles west of Atlantic City, and adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport. Engility’s projects includes R&D and testing of various National Airspace systems such as: Weather systems, GPS/Navigation, Air Traffic Control Systems, ATC simulations, human factors simulations, navigation, safety, surveillance, etc. Full-time position, no temporary contract workers. No travel is expected. Must be a US Citizen or holder of a valid “Green Card” (Alien Registration Card). requirements.Applicants selected for this position will require background screening and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
