Communications Specialist / EKMS Manager

Description Job Responsibilities:
General Dynamics is seeking a Senior Enlisted ex-Navy Electronics Technician - ET, Communications Technician - CT, Information Systems Technician - IT who is an experienced EKMS Manager and experienced with crypto and the equipment / systems listed below as well as comms/radio multiplexing (ie. SHF , UHF , HF , VHF , ADNS , DAMA , etc.).

Job Duties:

Provides EKMS Manager duties to remote sites located in the United States. Also provides technical expertise to customers, users or company personnel either at company or customer sites. Designs systems and equipment layout. Develops, implements, installs, test, modifies and/or operates complex equipment and systems. Develops system and equipment test procedures and plans. Develops equipment / system fielding plans relating to installation and fielding of Navy crypto and communication systems. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects, to include scheduling and planning of projects.

Secure Voice/Communications experience on any multiple listed equipment/systems;

ANDVT- Advanced Narrowband Digital Voice Terminal

STE - Secure Terminal Equipment (All variants)

STU-III -Secure Telephone Unit Third Generation

Required Education:
BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Work Experience:
Requires minimum of 12 years of experience.
Other Desirable Requirements:
Knowledge of US Navy COMSEC operational requirements and experienced with operating a LMD/KP.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.

Knowledge of Battle Group Communication requirements.

Work location is @ St Juliens Creek Annex Portsmouth VA.

Need to have or ability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI clearance.

This position requires 25% travel at the rate of 1 week per month, 12 months per year. Travel locations include 36 US cities located in FL, CA, KS, MO, MD, MA, WA, etc...
