Job Description

Join a growing company in the expanding private post-secondary education industry as the Community Outreach Coordinator.


The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships between the campuses, agencies, high schools, event coordinators and other community organizations.   The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for two main tasks: 1)the development of locally generated leads, and 2) identify prospects seeking further education.  The Outreach Coordinator will develop relationships with the noted organizations and agencies and be their primary liaison for questions about the college. The Outreach Coordinator reports directly to the Community Outreach Manager. The Community Outreach Coordinator reports to the Marketing department and is not responsible for admissions of students.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and cultivate collaborative relationships with high schools, community groups, companies, and agency contacts to educate them about our programs, opportunities, and scholarships
  • Provide the points of contact with marketing products for their clients and potential students
  • Work with the corporate marketing and admissions departments to develop  presentation materials for high schools, community groups, companies, and agencies
  • Contact community organizations, agencies, and other appropriate outlets to meet with the appropriate individuals to promote college
  • Participate in local community fairs, community events and high school career opportunities 
  • Solidify existing partnerships informing them of our progress and commitment to offering new programs and services
  • Make regular site visits to agencies to ensure contact is maintained
  • Submit weekly report of lead generation activity, , business contact information, log of follow-up phone calls, referrals and calendar regarding assigned presentations and related activities

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree required, preferably in Business / Marketing , Liberal Studies, or Communications  required
  • 3 years of appropriate work experience (marketing, public relations, lead development, community relations, trade shows, etc.) required
  • Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills required
  • Experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with diverse business opportunities is a plus
  • Experience working with government agencies is a plus
  • Reliable transportation required
