Executive Chef

  • Manage the restaurant and the quality of work performed by all subordinates.  Ensure proper hygiene of workers, cleanliness of the restaurant, and compliance with all applicable health standards.
  • Responsible for compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and company safety rules within the restaurant.
  • Manage the day-to-day supervision of all employees who work in the back of the house.
  • Directly supervise and oversee the work of all employees, including the Kitchen Managers, Supervisors, Cooks, Dishwashers, and other kitchen employees including scheduling all back of the house employees. Planning the work of all back of the house employees, assign work, prioritize work of personnel, and making changes to assignments and priorities based on an independent assessment of the restaurant's needs.
  • Direct subordinates in the receipt, inventorying, stocking, organizing, and proper storage of food products, cleaning the restaurant, and performing housekeeping tasks.
  • Teach and motivate employees regarding customer service skills, techniques and performance standards.
  • Maximize efficiency of kitchen personnel to produce the level of service required by company standards and customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 3+ years Senior level experience in a full-service, high-volume kitchen.  
  • Must be a team player and a self starter with strong leadership skills to motivate and develop staff
  • Must have hands-on experience with food inventories and good understanding of all that impacts food cost. 
  • Must be experienced in meeting and exceeding budgeted labor cost through effective management.
