The position requires frequent access to Navy Ships for ship checks and job scoping. The Contracts Administrator will Interface with shipyard trades, material estimators, and subcontractors to develop and price repair estimates. In addition, there will be occasional interface with government representatives for job scoping and negotiating repair estimates. Job Requirements Minimum Requirements: Graduate of shipyard apprenticeship trade programs, equivalent ship repair work experience, technical school or AS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Technology. Must Know how to read/interpret ships drawings. Additoional requirements include: Proficient with PC specifically MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
