Corporate Finance Paralegal

Large downtown Chicago law firm has an immediate opening for a paralegal with 3+ years experience in; commercial lending/ asset based financing, merger-acquisition transactional work. Main responsibilities include document preparation and distribution, preparation and filing of documents/UCCs for closings, as well as post-closing document preparation and distributions. Must have ability to perform due diligence, organize documents and draft closing documents. Must have familiarity with UCCs (including Revised Article 9) and be able to review UCC documentation. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently under tight deadlines, and be extremely organized. Must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed. This is a high profile position entails direct interface with our attorneys, clients and opposing counsel. An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or a four-year degree is required. 



 

 Requirements

3+ years corporate transactional, commercial lending, asset based financing experience

A Bachelor's Degree is required

An ABA approved certificate in addition is desired also

Strong knowledge of UCC closings, Article 9 and due diligence

Microsoft Office Suites knowledge
