Summary:

Collection Technology Inc, a leading provider of student loan recovery services, is looking for motivated individuals that are looking to excel in a competitive environment. The primary purpose of a Borrower Counselor is to reduce delinquency of defaulted student loans with extensive skip tracing and negotiating efforts. A Borrower Counselor must maintain a positive self motivated attitude, attendance record, and a high standard of production performance.

Job Requirements

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locating borrowers via skip tracing efforts utilizing extensive internet research
  • Heavy outbound calling
  • Recovering non-performing student loans utilizing strategic collection efforts
  • Negotiating alternative repayment resolution options with borrower
  • Perform other business related duties as requested
  • Maintain a positive attitude and adhere to CTi's Policies and Procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ethical
  • Must be able to work 40+ hours a week including one Saturday a month
  • Able to obtain and maintain required state licenses for collecting
  • Able to obtain and maintain federal government security clearance for employment for public trust or sensitive position!
