Warehouse Associate

Ashley Furniture is located in a state-of-the-art distribution facility at One Ashley Way, Arcadia, WI.

This role includes, but is not limited to:

• Manually manipulates furniture merchandise from racking or containers and loads to Powered Industrial Vehicle.
• Transports product using Powered Industrial Vehicle throughout the distribution center to appropriate container for shipment
• Manually manipulates furniture merchandise from Powered Industrial Vehicle into containers for maximum load capacity.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards established by company.
• Position uses hand-held scanning devices to maintain accurate inventory being stored and shipped out of distribution center.

Ideal Warehouse Associate will have:

• Initiative to work in a physically demanding, fast pace environment for an extended period of time
• Knowledge of a distribution center work environment a plus
• Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervision
• Ability to work required shift and overtime
• Various schedules available including five 8’s, four 10’s, or three 12’s
• Able to operate a powered industrial vehicle (Ashley offers PIV training and certification)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
• Requires lifting 100 lbs. frequently and ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. frequently
