Emergency Department Manager

Seeking and interim Emergency Department Manager for a large, not-for-profit, Joint Commission accredited, non-unionized hospital. This is a level I Trauma center with 85,000 visits/year and over 35 bays. This is a high functioning department with large volumes. The qualified individual will be a seasoned ED Manager who is able to make decisions independently. The interim Mgr will make weekly rounds with the Director and work closely with the Director to achieve enhancement in the throughput of the unit. Additional support in the department consists of Assistant Nurse Managers, Nurse Specialists and an ED Educator. ED throughput knowledge and financial acumen is required to develop the team and motivate them to focus on this initiative. CA RN license is required.
