EXPORT SPECIALIST

Job Description

We are looking for someone who will perform the following main job duties/responsibilities • Classify products for export, both ECCN and HTS code • Conduct denied party screening on non-inventory shipments • Review non inventory shipments for export compliance and risks • Audit export transactions and AES records including agent filed exports • Commodity Flow Surveys – monthly review • Create a systematic record keeping program consistent with CBP requirements for non-inventory shipments • Release blocked export orders in SAP • Support Duty Drawback program including researching claims and claim submission • Implement goals and objectives for the import/export compliance program • Address compliance gaps and risks in an effective manner • Respond to specific export issues • Other duties per managers request

 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements/qualifications:

Job Qualifications • 3 years Experience in classification including HTS and ECCN • Ability to demonstrate reasonable care when assigning classification. • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills • International trade compliance experience knowledge including: country of origin determination, and appropriate valuation methods, and sanctioned countries. • Ability to adapt quickly to change • AES filing experience or knowledge • Knowledge of US EAR and Customs Regulations • SAP background helpful

 

Required: Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Desired: Education Level: Undergraduate Degree
