Must have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on-the-spot corrections to emergency conditions.
Work on PLC controls, VFD drives and demonstrates a good understanding of instrumentation
Effectively troubleshoots electrical, mechanical and process issues in an independent manner.
Reliable and available to work well with all employees
Work overtime as required
Be able to lift 50 plus pounds
Good written and oral skills in English, including written records for work performed, equipment defects, preventative maintenance followup
Knowledge and experience of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission and pneumatics
Welding and acetylene cutting is necessary
Able to accommodate shift work and weekends as required
Able to interact and possess team involvement/spirit with all employees and outside contractors
High school graduate or equivalent
A minimum of five (3) years maintenance experience
Effective troubleshooting skills; must be able to systematically diagnose electrical and/or mechanical problems.
Working knowledge of AC & DC power and control voltages, PLC VFD drives, and process instrumentations.
Basic computer hardware and software skills.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to logically determine mechanical/electrical/process control system functions, in order to determine the most efficient method of resolving malfunctions.
