This position will be responsible for the northwest half of South Carolina. The position is responsible for the sale and distribution of company products and programs within a specific territory and will cover retail, wholesale and chain accounts in the assigned territory to expand distribution of all categories and products. National Tobacco is an innovative marketer and manufacturer of tobacco products in the cigar, cigar wraps, moist snuff, loose leaf, MYO cigarettes and pipe tobacco categories. NTC distributes over 150 tobacco products from a brand portfolio that includes Zig-Zag, Stoker's and Beech-Nut. National Tobacco is currently the leading distributor of cigarette papers and cigar wraps and the #2 distributor of loose leaf chewing tobacco in the U.S. Please include salary requirements with cover letter. Job Requirements -Must have 3-5 years recent, successful outside selling experience at the retail, wholesale, and local/regional chain headquarters level. Ideal candidate will have tobacco sales experience. Otherwise, must have experience selling consumer packaged goods such as beer, wine & spirits; soft drinks; or gum and candy. -Ability to travel up to 60% of the time and to attend weekend trade shows, etc. as necessary. -Bachelors degree in Management, Marketing or related field is desirable. -Excellent interpersonal skills and solid presentation capabilities. -Excellent selling skills and ability to forge relationships that help close the sale. -Good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently while achieving goals and objectives. -Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with ability to learn new systems quickly. -Ability to dependably prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a timely manner. -Excellent oral and written communication -Professional appearance and attitude -Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record -Must be able to lift product cases, sales bag, displays and promotional materials. -Responsible for being, knowing, and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations and company policies, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations.
