Lead Software Engineer - JAVA & .NET

We are seeking seasoned Java and .NET software engineers to join our team of professionals advancing our industry-leading Decision Management Tools. This is a unique opportunity to participate as a senior member of a skilled and creative product development team in designing, developing and delivering our next generation products. Our DM Tools portfolio includes best-in-class Business Rules Management, Analytics, Simulation and Optimization products.
The Lead Engineer will take responsibility for refining and implementing functional requirements, doing detailed design, effort estimation, hands-on development, testing, debugging, maintenance and support. You will participate not only as a key individual contributor, but also as a mentor and as a member of our development leadership team where you will help define our roadmap, architecture and process.

7+ years in commercial software development.
5+ years experience with Java and/or .NET server/cloud technologies

Experience with object oriented design, interface design, dependency injection and maintenance of very large code bases essential.

Good understanding of memory and runtime performance profiling and debugging tools for both Java and .NET.

Good understanding of multi-threading: Ability to diagnose and eliminate race conditions, deadlocks and minimize contention.

Good understanding of runtime and memory performance optimization techniques.

Experience with performance optimization of distributed applications is a plus.
Experience with web services is a plus.
Experience with Eclipse Plug-in development desirable

Agile training is a plus.

Knowledge of Business Rules Management Systems highly desirable.

Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g. using Hadoop) and distributed data processing is a plus. Experience with databases and distributed storage systems is a plus.

Experience in software development for the financial or insurance industries a plus.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a team player and be comfortable working with geographically diverse teams.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
