Analyst, Loss Mitigation Solution

Job Description



The Loss Mitigation Solution Analyst will be responsible to provide oversight, analysis, reporting and direction on loans actively in loss mitigation and or in default to ensure compliance with investor servicing expectations.  They will work with the business unites to ensure loss mitigation efforts have been exhausted to reduce the loss to PNMAC and/or its Investors.

Primary responsibilities will include monitoring active loss mitigation plans to ensure compliance with set expectations, provide recommendations of next steps on those loans that fail out of plans as well as provide analysis and loss mitigation/foreclosure prevention recommendations included but not limited to establishing forbearance plans, repayment plans, modifications, short payoffs and or deed in lieu of foreclosure.



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor delinquent loans to identify, at the earliest opportunity, situations where alternatives to foreclosure (i.e. short payoffs, deed in lieu of foreclosure, appropriate forbearance plans, loan refinance, seller repurchase or modifications) will reduce the loss to PNMAC and/or it’s Investors
  • Assess, interpret, identify indicators and respond accordingly to data gathered from internal databases/resources that may identify potential workout loans or loans requiring action
  • Review, negotiate and recommend action on requests for proposed foreclosure alternatives within the timeframes established by management
  • Track PNMAC’s performance in servicing delinquent loans and recommend corrective action to the manager
  • Perform audits of each investor portfolio, including loan file testing, audit loan files, and on-going performance monitoring
  • Assist in the identification of who require additional training with Investor guidelines.
  • Monitor delinquencies to ensure that PNMAC is acting in a prudent manner to effectively service our loans as well as our Investor’s mortgage loans. This includes the tracking of activities against PNMAC’s established timeliness.
  • Communicate our goals and Investors goals, guidelines, requirements and other recommendations to Servicing.
  • Participate on various projects and/or committees

Job Requirements



Required Minimum Education:

2 Year college degree (Associate) or equivalent work experience

Required Minimum Experience:

7+ Years

Skills & Abilities: (Include any required computer skills, regulatory knowledge, certifications, licenses, languages, etc)

  • In-Depth knowledge of current  Investor, State and Government servicing expectation
  • Strong Loss Mitigation, Collection, Default (foreclosure and bankruptcy)
  • Strong Forecasting, analyzing, strategizing and reporting experience
  • Ability to work with data, spot trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and  Sequel
