Job Description


This position requires an experienced Program Manager, with skills in managing major subcontractors. Critical to this position is the ability to manage major subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery, and seamless integration into the Raytheon team.  The LAPD customer base will require significant effort by Raytheon's team to manage scope creep and schedule erosion. 

The Digital In-Car Video (DICV) Program Manager must be a proven leader who has the breadth of experience and  proven Program Management skills, and System and/or Project Engineering hands-on background.  This leader must have strong communication skills and instinctively know how to evaluate risks and when to ask for help from NCS.  

The DICV Program Manager will manage the technical, financial, and programmatic aspects of two major subcontractors. Over time, these team members may change and evolve.  The Program Manager will be instrumental in the evaluation of future contractors to support the program.  

NOTE:  This position will be either a SG 5 (Mgr II) or SG 6 (Mgr III) depending on the successful candidates experience and other qualifications.

Position is located in Downey, CA.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  •    Strong and proven program management skills.

  •   Hands-on program technical leadership experience.

  •    Major subcontract management experience - 5 years minimum.

  •    Commercial development experience.

  •   Enhanced communications abilities to include downward, upward, and outward communication.

  •    Ability to evaluate risks and opportunities to be able to quickly develop mitigation and/or capture plans.

  •    Business Capture experience including new opportunity   development, capture, negotiation experience.  



    DESIRED SKILLS:

  •    Commercial Systems Experience.

  •    Close customer contact with the ability to maintain internal policies.


    REQUIRED EDUCATION (INCLUDING MAJOR):
    B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.  Advanced degree preferred.
