SYSTEMS ENGINEER PRINCIPAL (SYSTEM DSP SME) Job Description: The DSP Engineer will review and analyze requirements and make design recommendations and changes to existing designs in addition to developing new designs. The position entails generation of simulations and models for complex mixed-signal chains in addition to studying design trades and documenting these trades. They will perform functional analysis, detail trade studies, some requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. They will participate in product development process including structured requirements and design reviews. Will support proposal preparation, generation of prototype models, and documentation thereof, and assist System Engineering with directed analysis at all levels of total system product. These analyses may include: concept, design, test and operation. This person will also be instrumental in generation and management of system requirements through structured specifications, design documentation and Interface Control Documents.Knowledge of and experience in digital signal processing (DSP) and control theory including theory of phase-locked loops, probability and statistics, Fourier Analysis, Time-Frequency Analysis, numerical methods, filter design, Kalman filtering, and adaptive filtering.
